Proverbs 27: 1-2

Hey all,

Just reading in Proverbs today and came across this verse.. Ouch! Good, but ouch!

Proverbs 27
1. Do not boast about tomorrow, for you dont know what a day may bring forth.
2. Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger and not your own lips.

Keep on keeping on!

Psalm 37

Hey Guys,

Have been diving into the Psalms lately an thought I would share something I was reading today. The whole chapter of Psalm 37 seems to address this whole topic about the evil doer and the man or woman of God. Why do the wicked seem to prosper in this life and the righteous seem to be taken advantage of. Granted its not always like this, in fact right now I could name a few people off the top of my head who have been very successful in this life who are followers of the truth and conduct their business/life in a manor that in grounded in the principles of Christ. But I think on a whole it is not so. And so the question is asked, does God not see the wicked/what he or she so seemingly gets away with? does he not care? It appears that this question and its answer is told over and over, in just this chapter alone...

The truth is of course he does see, he does care. But most the time the problem is that our "LIFE" is not focused on Gods "REALITY". A day IS coming when all will be made right! The Bible says we are just sojourners in a land that is not ours. We are just passing through and with out that reality being entwined in our daily being we beguine to lose focus, we beguine to envy the wicked, instead of living in tents (Spiritually speaking) we build fortresses that are made to last forever here on earth. What I'm saying is that we end up building our treasures here and not in Heaven, which right where God promised our true treasure awaits all that trust in Him.

How liberating it is when we can come to that conclusion. When we can truly be settled in our soul and believe that no matter what, God has my back! It sets you free from the cares of this life, my circumstances do not define Gods love for me!!

Check out Psalms 37 when you get a chance!

Blessings,
Chad
